What to expect when you get here: On your first visit, we understand you may want to lay low and observe as you get your bearings at Faith Lutheran. At some point, our staff would love the opportunity to meet or talk with you personally. If you’d like someone to follow up with you, you can fill out a worship card during the worship service or you can send us a question or comment right now at email@example.com
We promise you won’t get bored with the preaching at Faith Lutheran! You will not be talked “down to”, as a matter of fact; our pastor doesn’t always use the pulpit. Sometimes he comes down in front, at pew level with the worshipers and has more of a “fire-side chat” with us. Pastor Jim is a passionate follower of Jesus Christ and conveys this in his messages. Sprinkled with humor, stories, and illustrations, we guarantee every message will be Bible based. Most important of all, our Pastor challenges us with a daily application for the week to come (and challenges us to take notes!) every Sunday. Come and see!
What is worship like? Worship at Faith is all about Jesus Christ, crucified and risen! At every Sunday worship service you will have the opportunity to sing, pray, hear relevant Biblical teaching and fellowship with other friendly people. We celebrate the Lord’s Supper on the first and third Sunday of the month and on special Sundays. Occasionally there will be Baptisms during the service or testimonies from individuals or missionaries. Each service is approximately 60 minutes in length.
While our worship is liturgical, we worship informally. We use a blend of traditional and contemporary hymns and songs in worship. Accompaniment may be by organ, piano, brass choir, bell choir, etc. You can participate in children’s choir, adult choirs, and bell choirs or offer whatever special musical talent God has given you.
Is child care and nursery care available? Yes! While we encourage children to be active in worship with their family, we do offer nursery and childcare during worship and Bible Classes. Nursery care is available from 8:30 am to 11:30 am each Sunday.
Is there a dress code? We believe that God looks at our hearts, not our wardrobe. So you will find our folks wearing everything from suits and ties to jeans and flip-flops. Just wear what is comfortable for you! At Faith you’ll see a wide variety of clothing. Some people prefer to “dress-up,” but many of us wear jeans, our Pastor dresses in business casual. Choose some comfortable clothes and come worship the Lord with us!
