
Join us as Faith Lutheran Church celebrates 60 YEARS OF GOD’S FAITHFULNESS on Sunday, August 30, 2026! We invite everyone to be part of this special anniversary celebration, featuring a delicious barbecue lunch, a display of treasured photos and memorabilia from our church’s history, and a bounce house for the kids. Be sure to order your commemorative 60th anniversary T-shirt. Pre-sales will be available for the next two Sundays at the table in the church narthex, or you can reserve yours by calling Angie in the church office at 379-7036. What started it all?
1966 The Mission Board of the American Lutheran Church, after purchasing 4.5 acres of land, extended the Letter of Call to William Lange for Mission Package #232 in Seguin, Texas.
On January 31, a contract for the new church building was signed in the amount of $59, 657.50, and a house was purchased for $19,500 at 1434 Canary Lane which was to be used as the parsonage.
February 27, the first worship service was held at Seguin High School’s auditorium with 107 people in attendance.
On April 4, Faith Lutheran Church was officially organized as a congregation of The American Lutheran Church at the Seguin High School cafeteria by Pastor Otto Hesla, Regional Director of American Missions.
On April 13, the first church council met, organized and began developing the ministries and programs of Faith Lutheran Church.
On August 21, we dedicated the new church building and the congregation moved into its new church home.
