Faith Lutheran Church of Seguin is a movement of people who love Jesus Christ and have joined Him on a mission to tell the world what He has done! We are dedicated to pursuing life based on the reality of Jesus and are working together to expand His impact in our homes, communities, and around the world … one life at a time.
We are part of the LCMC: Lutheran Congregations in Mission for Christ. We are a New Testament Church bringing Jesus to the 21st century! God’s Word is clear: We were created for a purpose! Jesus calls us to follow Him and join in the great work of making disciples of all nations. We do more that go to church – we are the Church!
Our congregation desires everyone to know that they are loved and cherished by God. It is our commitment to glorify God and to share His message with people so that all may have a relationship with Jesus Christ. Our hope is in Christ Jesus!:”For God made Christ, who never sinned, to become sin itself, so that we could be made right with God through Christ” 2 Corinthians 5:21 (New Living Translation)
Who is Jesus? The Bible is clear about who Jesus is and why He came! The Gospel of John in the third chapter says this of Jesus: 16 “For this is how God loved the world: He gave His one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. 17 God sent His Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through Him.” In fact, Jesus Himself said this! C.S.Lewis, a famous and well-known Christian writer wrote this about Jesus: “Either this man was, and is, the Son of God, or else a madman or something worse. You can shut him up for a fool, you can spit at him and kill him as a demon or you can fall at his feet and call him Lord and God, but let us not come with any patronizing nonsense about his being a great human teacher. He has not left that open to us. He did not intend to.” (C.S.Lewis, Mere Christianity, pages 55-56).
Jesus praises His follower Peter when he confessed about Jesus; “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.” (Matthew 16:16) because Jesus knows Who He is – and Who He needs to be for each us of – the Forgiver of our sins and Redeemer of lost lives! Jesus is so unique because heaven and earth meet in Him! He is the God-man sent from heaven! He is Immanuel – literally “God with us!”
His name is above all other names (Philippians 2:9), and His life-changing, storm- calming, miracle-working power is unrivaled! Yet He is also the personal friend and redeemer for all people — no matter their sins, failures or past! Join us as we worship Him!
