Youth Ministry!

Faith Lutheran is experiencing a new beginning in Youth Ministry and we are dedicating lots of resources to help young people grow in their relationship with Jesus and each other. Currently our youth group includes 6th-12th grade meeting together. Below is a list of activities we are focused on now:

Fifth Quarter Seguin Youth Gathering! The youth of faith and their friends are invited to the first of four Fifth Quarter High School gatherings! The first gathering immediately follows the home football game on September 8 and runs until 12 pm! The event will be at First Baptist Church next door.  Music, gaga ball, spike ball, bounce houses, free food and prizes!  Pastor Jim and adult leaders from Faith will attend.  Faith will participate in all of these and will be a host site in 2018!

September 27 – See You at the Pole and Fields of Faith!  On September 27 meet at the flag pole at the school you attend for a brief student led time of prayer at 7 am.  Pastor Jim will be at Seguin High School. That evening we will have a “I Saw You at the Pole” rally at Faith Lutheran! No confirmation classes that night so that all can attend.  Here is the agenda for the evening:

  • 4:00pm to 5:30pm      Open Gym
  • 5:30pm to 6:30pm      Food
  • 6:30pm to 7:00pm     Worship (By Worship Project Band)
  • 7:00pm to 7:30pm    Message (By Art Badilla of McQueeney B.C.)

Open Gym every Wednesday of the school year! Pastor Jim will open the gym and youth room every Wednesday from 4-6 pm! You are encouraged to bring your friends for basketball, volley ball, X-Box… (and Gaga Ball & 9 Square when the courts are completed).  You can do homework or just enjoy time with your Faith family! Confirmation classes begin at 6:45.

Camp Eagle! Faith has a long history of sending our youth to Camp Eagle for a week of intense Bible Study, fellowship, challenge courses and more!  We reserve the third week of July (Monday – Saturday) for our campers to attend Camp Eagle. Please contact Pastor Jim for details or visit Camp Eagle’s website to learn more! Camp Eagle
